Food Road Trip: Best of the West (USA)

Lincoln Market & Deli in San Luis Obispo, CA

The best spot in SLO to soak in sunshine and good times. A local fave where Cal Poly coeds and families slay drool-worthy sandwiches, play pinball or soak in the good life on the patio. My favorites are the Festival Girl and Pesto Primo, the kiddo favors the Tuscan Turkey. But we all get it on Back Porch Bakery’s famous Dutch Crunch bread.

DEKitchen-decorDE Thai Kitchen in Las Vegas, Nevada

Located in the emerging Arts District off the strip, DE Thai Kitchen mixes authentic Bangkok street food with a modern aesthetic and great prices. Born and raised in Thailand, the chef turns out mind-blowing Curries, Tom Yum soup and house specialties like Kao Soi, a Northern Thai curry noodle soup, to devout patrons. Boom, so good you’ll forget you’re in Vegas.

Moab Kitchen in Moab, Utah

Walk down the dirt road and just when you think you must be in the wrong place, a spray painted arrow points you to the most amazing food truck parked outside a hipster-approved chill spot. Sri Lankan samosas and curries will change your life. Oh… and not that carnivores would notice, but it’s 100% Vegan. And 110% awesome.

Moab Garage Co. in Moab, Utah

The kid declared it the ‘Best waffle I’ve ever eaten!’
