Hotels We Love: Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe

Family vote! Here's how the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe stacked up:

10 Stillwater Spa bliss -Mom
10 The bison and whiskey selection at the Lone Eagle Grill -Dad
10 The pool, hot tub, s'mores and games! -Kiddo
9 Lakeview cottage room
9.8

The best family adventures are when everyone’s individual needs mesh together into one blissful family vacation. If you asked each one of us (mom, dad + 6 year-old) to rate our favorite things about the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, you’d get a different answer. But one thing is the same, it was a 10/10 for everyone.

We check in and are greeted with a glass of complimentary champagne and a welcome note. I’m never mad at a glass of complimentary bubbles and love hotels that take the time to add little extra. Our ‘cottage’ is a lakeside hotel room located across the street from the main building. The balcony has a stunning view of Lake Tahoe with adirondack chairs made for early morning coffee or a glass of wine night cap.

After a day exploring or skiing, pamper yo self with an indulgent day at the Stillwater Spa. The afterglow stuck around long after we checked out of the hotel. Mama needed a recharge. Check out my blissed-out spa day details below.

Stillwater Spa at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe

I’m unaware how much I need to recharge until I settle into the eucalyptus steam room. It’s heaven and before the guilt of spending money on myself sets in, I decide this bliss is required maintenance for my 40-something year old body. I don my cozy robe and wait for my treatments, but not before I soak in the dry heat of the sauna. Ahhhhh… complete relaxation.

My massage therapist is Kim and she knocks it out of the park. A mix of complete relaxation and targeting the areas of concern I mentioned pre-treatment. One of the best massages (er, tune-ups) I’ve ever had. I peel myself off the table with a deep contented smile. If you are ever within a 2 hour radius of the amazing Kim, go there and treat yo’ self.

The Express HydraFacial makes some big promises targeting hyperpigmentation, congested pores and wrinkles… in 20 minutes. But by the looks of my glowing skin afterward, it delivers. The Waterpik-esque device cleanses and rehydrates pores at the same time, gently and cooly. I check myself in the mirror and I’m looking as refreshed as I feel. We head to dinner later that evening no make-up required. Monthly tune-up, check! Stillwater Spa @ Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Tidbits:

The room was one little point away from perfection. Curious what would’ve made it a perfect 10? The bathtub was just ho-hum and this mama loves to soak.

Note the resort fee does not include parking ($18).
